Feng Shui Energy

Feng Shui is the ancient study and art of ‘Flow’. The encouragement of Beneficial Energy to literally flow around a home according to Ancient Chinese principles of ‘Wind and Water’. It is felt that Prosperity or Luck can only be achieved if these natural forces flow up to, around and through a property with ease. This is in Energetic terms of course for we don’t want water flowing into a home! It’s all to do with a ‘symbolic’ Flow of different types of Energy into and through a home, the approach and the exit being the most important elements of the Flow.

Clearing a home removing negative Energies in the location and the structure of the building allows for ‘ease’ to develop that can be felt by its owners. But this is not necessarily ‘Flow’ or the ability to create Prosperity that the Chinese refer to, in a philosophy that has been used for thousands of years. That’s next level clearing!

One form of Feng Shui can produce a beneficial effect if the right objects or colours are placed in the right places around a home and this can be very potent certainly, but there are other techniques in Feng Shui that can be used to create Flow, and a level of positivity required for good health, but sometimes we need to do a little more to allow it and its owners to thrive. I was trained thoroughly in Feng Shui and do love it but have found that through a few simple techniques after a House Clearing, especially for ‘difficult’ houses or those that were really bad before, clearing a little extra nudge is beneficial. So I use the principles of Feng Shui but apply them energetically with Crystal Therapy and Sound Therapy. The difference can be quite marked, like a soft warm breeze flowing through a house. Curiously Feng Shui is the study of ‘wind and water’!

What I am aiming to do with an additional Feng Shui exercise to a home is:

  1. Making the property ‘aware’ and to take on board the idea that there is a necessary ‘front’ and a ‘back' to a house and for Energy or Chi to flow properly into and through a property it needs to know how to flow in a beneficial way ‘front’ to ‘back’, and also the right place for negative energy to leave the home ie. detoxing. If the home doesn’t automatically ‘know’ the best way through a property then it needs to be shown how to do it using Tuning Forks!

  2. Helping the Energy or Chi to feel ‘secure’ in a home by providing a strong ‘back’ to the home. When we sit in a high backed armchair we feel ‘secure’. We do the same thing with a ‘protective’ headboard to a bed. There is something about a strong ‘wall’ energetically behind us that makes us feel safe and then we can be more effective. A home is no different. It needs to feel like a ‘Castle’ to us by strengthening what is the ‘back’ of the property. Properties that are not regular in shape, that are flats or offices above ground, or simply those that no concept of this ‘back wall’ need to be ‘taught’ this Energetically though using Sound Therapy!

  3. Making sure that Chi can access the building in the first place (at the ‘front’) and not be turned away, no Energetic reason for Chi to be ‘denied’ entry into the house. Think of Chi Energy as being a bit like a toddler. In its innocence and without grown up experience it instinctively ‘feels’ expressively what is right. If the front door of a property feels wrong then it will turn around and go somewhere else that feels happier, and won’t look back again probably! I clear the pathway entrance in Clearing a Home but Energy approaching the home is ‘subtle’ and may need further encouragement to come in through the door. We need to show the ‘toddler’ Energy that it will be fun to play inside! That it will be safe, and that it will be welcome. I use Tuning Forks over a plan of the home to do this. If we can get that ‘toddler’ Energy inside then other forms of Feng Shui can come into play which a homeowner can do for themselves. Things like ensuring that there are no sharp edges or obstructions in the house for that ‘toddler’ Energy to bump into. No scary pictures or stuffed animals! No damp, dark, or mouldy places which the ‘toddler’ Energy will actively avoid as Negative Chi. No jarring, overly ‘loud’ or exaggerated decor to disturb or over-energise the child. Just a harmonious happy space to play and grow up in.

  4. Helping the property to continue releasing minor build up of Energy after the main clearing process and on an ongoing basis to maintain Harmony! By encouraging the Genius Loci (the spirit of the home if you like) to come to the surface through House Clearing the natural detoxing process can be established. That’s its job.

  5. Balancing the ‘Five Elements’ within the property, the study of the balance of Fire, Metal, Earth, Water and Tree (or Wood) Energy aspects of the Health of the building. The Ancient Chinese believe that nature is affected by each of these types of Energy and that each is required in order to create Health, but always in balance. The energies relate to characteristics of the land, symbolic of its ability to create, ability to support life and so on. One leads to another naturally eg. Water enables Tree/Wood to grow, Tree fuels a Fire, Fire creates ash or Earth, Earth creates minerals or Metal, Metal or minerals condense Water on their surface, Water enables Tree/Wood to grow and so on. This is the Creation Cycle, creating prosperity. The opposite ie. in reverse is the Destruction Cycle…Water extinguishes Fire, Fire melts Metal, Metal pierces or chops down Tree/Wood, Wood depletes the nutrients of Earth, Earth blocks or dams Water. Since we want to encourage ‘growth’ the Five Elements need to be in Creation mode by first clearing the Home and then identifying any pockets of Five Elements causing imbalance in the property or that have become too dominant. I use lots of coloured crystals related to each Five Elements aspect repeatedly over house plans to remove these pockets of Energy, encouraging the property back into Balance again. It’s an Energy thing!

  6. Then we need to create Peace and Unanimity of Flow for the animate Chi Energy through the property ie. establishing Positive Flow, Earthing, and making this Flow sustainable. Not too strong, nor too weak, just balanced and sustainable. Completed through Crystal Therapy over the house plan.

  7. Application of the Flower of Life to the house drawing can then be completed until it feels harmonious and ‘solid’ in its Intention for the future, life!

  8. Once all of these are complete it is possible to Energetically feel a house ‘relax’. It knows what it is meant to do and how to sustain itself.

At the point of being in touch about a Clearing Project I can advise whether an extra Feng Shui Energy Project would be beneficial. For the average Family Home this would cost a further £50.

Feng Shui due to its subtle nature can also be used as a light ‘tune-up’ as well in years to come. Like freshening up a home with the windows open to let that fresh air in!
